These terms apply to the website, planning tools, guides, links, and optional services published as Western Mile and operated by Western Mile. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website.
Outdoor information is not professional advice
Planning tools, destination guidance, checklists, weather context, and gear research provide general educational information. They are not emergency, rescue, medical, legal, navigation, avalanche, boating, cycling, fishing, or other professional instruction. They do not replace appropriate training, current official information, local expertise, or personal judgment.
Conditions, regulations, and personal responsibility
Weather, wildfire, water, snow, avalanche, road, trail, access, closure, permit, and regulatory information can change without notice. Verify current information with the responsible agency and relevant qualified professionals before departure. You are responsible for evaluating your health, experience, equipment, companions, route, transportation, and actual conditions. Outdoor activities involve inherent risks that cannot be eliminated by a website or checklist.
Weather information
Live weather is sourced from the National Weather Service for selected coordinates and may be delayed, unavailable, or different from conditions at the exact route or elevation. Western Mile is not affiliated with or endorsed by the National Weather Service. Use official alerts and authoritative local sources for time-sensitive decisions.
Gear, products, prices, and affiliate links
Product recommendations are editorial research, not a guarantee of safety, fit, durability, availability, or suitability. Verify the exact model, specifications, recalls, warranty, seller, inventory, and final price before purchase. Retailers and manufacturers control their own products, transactions, returns, warranties, and privacy practices. Affiliate relationships, when active, are disclosed separately and do not make a retailer or manufacturer an agent of Western Mile.
External services and links
Links may open government agencies, land managers, weather services, manufacturers, retailers, or other third-party websites. Western Mile does not control their content, security, availability, or terms and is not responsible for transactions or decisions made on those services.
